Your Life's End

Ecclesiastes 12:9-14

9 Not only was the Teacher wise, but also he imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. 10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.

11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one Shepherd. 12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.

13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.

14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.

Join us this week as we reflect on the scripture above...as we think about our "life's end" and what we have taken away from this series.

1. After hearing Pastor's Gilbert's message - reflecting on the 'fear of God and keeping his commandments" - what was your biggest "take away"?

2. As you think about your life's end, what would you tell people in regards to time, relationships, and their relationship with God?

3. What is your biggest take-away from this series?

It has been a true JOY to hear from you through out this series. Please stay tuned as we venture into our next series "FEARLESS".

With love

In-Side-Out

We heard on Sunday about loving God with ALL we are and loving others AS ourselves. These two commandments that we are given can be hard, and yet God is calling us to them and commanding us to walk in these ways.

As we talked about in-side-out on Sunday - lets discuss the following questions this week. Feel free to comment, talk, respond, and engage with our community this week as God changes our lives and perspectives in our continued study of "30 Days To Live". What has God been telling you and teaching you through this?

1. When was the last time you remember stopping to savor a rich moment? What were the circumstances-were you on vacation, with family, at Thanksgiving? What prevents us from noticing more of these moments?

2. Do you consider yourself a good listener? Why or why not? What prevents you from listening more closely?

3. What are some practical steps you have taken to hear God’s voice in spite of all the ‘noise’ of our lives and culture?

Living A Legacy

Good morning CrossTown blog readers! So good to have you here.

This week Ronn dove into the idea of "Living your legacy". What kind of legacy are you living?

As always we want to hear your hearts around this idea. What did you hear on Sunday? What is God teaching you through this series and specifically from this past Sunday?

Here are a couple questions to get your minds thinkin...

1. What is the biggest request you have ever asked God for? Why did you ask for it? Did you get it? If you got it...what did you do with it, and why? And did it lead to an eternal legacy?

2. Who was the first follower of Jesus in your family? How many generations does your family legacy go back to? What is the strength of this and the challenges of this?
